Terugblik Stadshart DOET

Zaterdag 28 september werd de oude binnenstad een beetje schoner, groener en gezelliger dankzij de deelnemers aan Stadshart DOET. Zij gingen actief aan de slag bij diverse initiatieven. In veel gevallen smaakte de kennismaking naar meer!

Een terugblik op de vijf toffe activiteiten:
Boomspiegels vergroenen
De belangstelling is groot om de boomspiegels op de Wallen te vergroenen. Als aftrap is ‘Iep’ nummer 1153549 bij de Oudezijds Voorburgwal 280 op een fris tuintje getrakteerd. Vele boomspiegels zullen nog volgen. Wil je meehelpen? Sluit aan bij de app-community Groen Stadshart door een berichtje te sturen naar 06-59924699.
Buurtinterviewers
ChildPress reporters Ella (9) en Edgar (10) zijn door de buurt gelopen om te kijken wat opvalt en/of anders zou kunnen vanuit hun blik. Ze wilden oa meer speelplekken en minder stinkende coffeeshops. De volgende dag interviewden ze Femke Halsema en vroegen haar wat ze doet voor kinderen in de stad. Vandaag komen ze daarover vertellen op Red Light Jazz Radio.
Schilderen bij Oudezijds 100
De bijzondere woongemeenschap Oudezijds 100 is tegelijk een inloophuis en toevluchtsoord waar iedereen welkom is. Erin en Diana hebben geholpen het complex mooi te houden door de hal een frisse schilderbeurt te geven.
Buurtradio maken bij Red Light Jazz Radio
Bij ons lokale radiostation Red Light Jazz Radio hebben buurtbewoners jingles opgenomen, bijzondere buurtgenoten geïnterviewd en een buurtverhaal ingesproken. Het was een productieve dag; een leuke manier om iets nieuws uit te proberen en nieuwe mensen te leren kennen.
Straten schoonmaken
Buurtbewoners, expats uit andere buurten, een ondernemer en iemand van het Buurtteam hebben de Zeedijk en omgeving onder handen genomen. Daarna volgde een boeiend gesprek en brainstorm bij cocktailbar Dutch Courage, waar drie medewerkers van de Dienst Schoon bij aansloten tijdens hun pauze. Een geweldige mix van mensen om over oplossingen voor het zwerfafval in de buurt na te denken!

Green, clean and ‘gezellig’!
Last Saturday the participants in Stadshart DOET made the inner city a little cleaner, greener and more sociable by helping out at various neighbourhood initiatives. New bonds were built, which are sure to have further positive effects!

Tree gardening
A lot of people are eager to green the neighbourhood. As a start, a group of volunteers created a garden around the elm at Oudezijds Voorburgwal 280. Groen Stadshart has ambitions to plant many more of these gardens. Like to get involved? Send a message to 06-59924699 and you will be added to the app community.
Neighbourhood reporters
ChildPress reporters Ella (9) and Edgar (10) went exploring to see what they would like to improve about the neighbourhood. Their wishes include more places to play and less stink from coffeeshops! Paintwork at Oudezijds 100
The community home Oudezijds 100 welcomes anybody at their walk-in center. Erin and Diana helped keep the complex attractive by painting the entry hall.
Radio making at Red Light Jazz Radio
A number of residents gathered at Red Light Jazz Radio to record jingles, conduct interviews with interesting locals and record a neighbourhood story. It was an exciting new experience for both them and the radio crew, and a nice way of meeting new people.
Cleaning the streets
Neighbours, expats from all over town, an entrepreneur and a social worker formed the mixed group of participants in a cleanup of the Zeedijk and surroundings. After gathering litter we were joined by city cleaners during their break and had a coffee together at Dutch Courage. It was great hearing various perspectives and brainstorming about ways in which the community and gemeente can keep better keep the inner city clean.
